internships city by city

Different cities around the US of A offer different internship opportunities.

These are a few of my favorite cities and below you will read about what each city has to offer.

New York City

If you are wanting to intern in the fashion or magazine industry, NYC is the perfect place for you.

This posh metropolis is the “holy grail” of any industry. If you are working in NYC, you’ve made it.

Something is always happening in the “city that never sleeps.”

From hailing cabs on Fifth Avenue to sight-seeing, this city has fantastic opportunities to offer.

My favorite places:

Top of the rock: My favorite view of The Big Apple.

Ladurée: Their macaroons are TO DIE FOR.

Central Park: A bicycle ride around Central Park is a fun way to see the spacious outdoors.

la

If you are wanting to intern in the fashion or TV/ film industry, LA is the perfect place for you.

Palm trees and the glitz and glamor of Hollywood make this city a perfect place to intern.

You have the relaxed “hang ten” California lifestyle feel yet a structured way of life in the business world.

From the beautiful weather and scenic views to rubbing elbows with Hollywood’s stars, this city has fantastic opportunities to offer.

My favorite places:

TCL Chinese Theatre: Where you can hold hands with George Clooney, well put your hand in his cement hand print.

Santa Monica Pier: After you ride the iconic Ferris Wheel, go to the end of the boardwalk to MariaSol Mexican restaurant for amazing fresh food.

Manhattan Beach: A cute small beach town feel, right outside of LA, with a cute little aquarium at the end of the boardwalk.

washington d.c.

If you are wanting to intern in politics or law, DC is the perfect place for you.

In DC, you are in the Heart of America. You are right down the street from some of the most iconic places in the entire country.

You are surrounded by the history of our forefathers, and in politics, you are making the future history of our country.

From the White House to Capitol Hill, this city has fantastic opportunities to offer.

My favorite places:

National Museum of American History: Where else can you see the original ruby red slippers from The Wizard of Oz?

Lincoln Memorial: My favorite monument in DC.

Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception: A long name, but one of the most breathtaking churches I’ve ever stepped foot in.

nashville

If you are wanting to intern in the country music industry, Nashville is the perfect place for you.

In Nashville, you get a big city feel without going North of the Mason Dixon line.

You are surrounded by Country royalty and southern charm.

From Music Row to the Grand Ole Opry, this city has fantastic opportunities to offer.

My favorite places:

The Parthenon: You feel like you’re overseas in Greece, but you’re right in the center of Tennessee. I bought a beautiful Greek key ring there that I wear every day.

Star Bagel: Delicious bagels to kick start your day.

Gaylord Opryland: Their Christmas lights show is absolutely fantastic.

atlanta

If you are wanting to intern in the magazine or rap/r & b industry, ATL is the perfect place for you.

With one of the country’s busiest airports, a lot of culture is brought through ATL.

You have venues from The Georgia Dome, that houses sports events and concerts to Chastain Park Amphitheater that houses smaller more intimate concerts.

From Centennial Olympic Park to the Atlanta Braves, this city has fantastic opportunities to offer.

My favorite places:

Cafe Intermezzo: Their cheesecakes are TO DIE FOR, and their late hours make midnight snacks a reality.

Philip’s Arena: I’ve seen some of my favorite artists in this amazing arena. One of my favorite concert venues, it doesn’t matter what seat you are in, you’re going to have a great experience.

Georgia Aquarium: A “little kid” favorite. From the penguins to the huge Whale Shark, there are so many cool things to see.

And there are five of the coolest cities to intern in, you just get to choose which city fits you best.
