adventure around: california- down the pacific coast highway

This past week I had the great opportunity to travel all around the state of California with my family for my little sister’s graduation trip. I had been out to Los Angeles when Auburn played in the National Championship in Pasadena but did not get the chance to really adventure around the city.

We had a lot of sightseeing and walking packed into the seven days we were on the west coast starting with a great few days in San Francisco.

Keep reading to see our trip through the what seemed like million pictures I took and read about the amazing places we went and restaurants we ate yummy food at, complete with the location’s address at the bottom of the post!

the adventure around travel bucket list

travel bucket list

Every travel fanatic has a “travel bucket list.”

I’ve thought of all the places I want to go, but what do I want to do in those places?

There are plenty of things I want to do, like ride The Eye in London, but I wanted my travel bucket list to be a list of things you wouldn’t really think of.

Here’s my bucket list, can’t wait to start checking things off!

the want to adventure around

Now that it’s Christmas break I have plenty of time to run away from responsibilities.

This has led to some time just sitting on the couch watching TV, where I’ve become obsessed with the Travel Channel.

Just today I got to see people travel to New Zealand and around the U.S.

This leads to my want to adventure around.

I finally have my passport so it’s time to start thinking of cool places I can go, and start saving the money to go on these trips. That’s the thing that makes this wanderlust so difficult, you have to have the funds to go on these fun trips.

oh, the places you’ll {hopefully} go

oh the places

With a world full of amazing cities, how do you choose just one destination for a vacation?

Lately I’ve had a major case of Wanderlust.

One of my favorite high school graduation gifts was Dr. Seuss’ Oh, the Places You’ll Go.

Even this book was a story time favorite when I was a little girl, upon opening the gift, I read the book as an 18-year-old girl about to go off to college thinking,

“What all is out there in the real world? What countries do I want to explore and what cultures do I want to experience?”

I decided to put together a list of places I’ll {hopefully} travel to in the future.

There are numerous other cities I would love to visit, so I’ll be adding to this list as I think of more travel spots I want to visit.

If you click the city, you will visit TripAdvisor so you can fall in love with that destination too!

adventure around: travel journal

adventure around journalA fun way to remember your trips is to keep a travel journal.

This is my journal from my trip to New York.

When you are going and doing and sight-seeing it’s easy to forget the awesome little details.

Every night when we got to the hotel I would write everything we did that day, with a summary of the day at the end.

What food did we eat that day? How was the weather? These things sound funny but the little things make the trip special.

your perfect trip

perfect trip

When it comes to traveling, it never hurts to be prepared.

You can look on Pintrest all day long for traveling tips, but I thought it would be great to have all of the information in one place.

You are going to this super cool place, but you only have a week there and you want to make sure you make the most of your trip.

That’s where an itinerary comes in handy.
